Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association
Use of Logo Guidelines
The Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association (“HCCLA”) provides the use of a logo for its members. Our logo provides a visual identity and represents who we are. Our logo visually identifies our membership and represents our dedication to assisting, supporting, and protecting the criminal defense practitioner in the zealous defense of individuals and their constitutional rights.
Because our logo represents not only the organization but its each of our members, it is necessary to maintain the integrity of our logo and use our logo consistently. As a current member, you may use the logo to identify your membership in the organization. In your use of our logo, the logo cannot be cut apart or positioned in a way that will disturb the integrity of the design. It may not be expanded or condensed but instead must be maintained in its current and approved proportions. You may enlarge or reduce the logo, but its height and width proportions must remain the same. Further, you may not change the font size or any other element of the logo. The logo must be used in its entirety, you may not use parts of the logo and you may not separate any elements from the logo. It may be used in color or black and white, as provided, but you may not change the colors.
Should your membership lapse or should you fail to renew your membership, you must discontinue all use of our logo.
You are permitted to use our logo for personal use but not commercial use. It may be displayed on your letterhead, website, or business card (to identify your membership), but it may not be used in commercial advertisements without the express consent and approval of the Board of Directors. Further, it may not be used to express or imply any sort of endorsement from HCCLA, without express written consent and approval of the Board of Directors.
HCCLA reserves the right to disapprove of or disallow any specific or particular use of the HCCLA logo if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the use is not in the best interest of the organization. Your use of our logo is express consent to HCCLA’s right to disapprove or disallow any use or to change these rules at any time.
